Agreed on the T2, You have a much better chance getting to the F16 with something a little more stable when unhooked (Park is awesome). And if you can't hook back in from bearing downwind, just let go and climb back to your kite from your leash. You will avoid your safety release plus all that power will most likely keep your kite flying long enough to hook back in without dropping your kite.

Keep up the stoke, good luck on your goal!

Agreed on the T2. Holy heck I flew a F-One Bandit at the demo yesterday. So much more forgiving than my T2. I'm gonna see if I can get it out again today and play with it a little more but I'm with you guys on the get a new kite. That is now my #1 priority as soon as the budget will allow.

So I got a F-One Bandit 12m and it's money. I was out at Sauvie yesterday in pretty light wind but unhooking is SO much easier on that kite. I was able to practice unhooked raileys a bit without feeling like I was survival kiting. I was a little hampered by the light wind but I'm feeling a lot better about kiting life now. The combination of me having a little more experience with unhooking and having a kite that was designed to support is is working out well.

F-16 here I come!

Watch out Forrest; maybe I'll get the Back Mobe this year after all Very Happy
