I am new to the sport but can ride in the gorge at Roosevelt with out too many concerns. I'm going to be on the coast near Seaside the week of August 15th. Is there a group that goes out or somebody to let me know how not to kill myself? |

It will be high tide in the afternoon all week so if the wind blows, you can always ride on the north end of town where the river empties into the ocean. Combination of flat water and little waves.
If there is no wind, drive north or south. |

Dude manzanita today was epic!! It actually gets some clean surf- are there any consistent breaks(point ?) or is it all sorta messy if you go up towards the bluff or way down the beach?
Loving it. |

Fort Stevens was 12 meter late this afternoon. Got on the water around 430, at 715 it was still blowing solid. Unplanned downwinder (couldn't resist), thanks to the vw van Cabrina crew for the lift back. Lots of kiters, maybe 20+. Good to see so many people out there. Thought about Manzanita but I hardly ever get to Stevens and the forecast seemed worthy. _________________ Take the red pill... |
