does anyone have any advice on kayaking with whales around San Juan Island? Or anything else fun to do in the area? I am going to stop there on my way out of the Gorge. Anything would be helpful !

| West side of the island is a county park. Kayak beach right in the park, whales nearby. Have fun. Arrive midweek if you can, otherwise crowded. |

| several outfitters on the island. Some launch from that park. Friday harbor is the activity center. |
