trying to decide between a 2009 15 m rev and a 09 14 m LF havoc .. right now i have an 11m 09 rev.. i want as much range as possible but not an awkward gap.. any advice?
also which one is generally the better kite?
Thanks

We don't do Brand Vs Brand threads here. Sorry about that... As far as the Revs though, I found 11m to 15m a pretty big jump. The 13m might be a better choice. The 15m will go about 3mph lower than the 13m, but it feels like a BIG kite compared to the 13m. (Slow) If you need as much low end as possible the range will overlap with the 11m, but the 13m allows you to stay more in the "sweet spot" when switching. If you use two boards, your regular board and a lightwind board, you can close the gap a bit. |

I did okay with a 7/11/15 quiver of REVs. Sure, I'd love to have had 7/9/11/13/15, but had to get the best spread out of 3 kites. The 11 will start to go nicely as the teens top out and you can fly the 15 in low 20s if you get stuck...but you'll be depowered and want to come in and rig that 11. The 15 is more fun on the high end than the 11 is on the low end. But that's just because you can't jump on the low end... |

I love the Havocs, but they do not have a lot of low end. I would go with the 15 Rev. Especially if you are around 200 lbs and kite Sauvie and the coast. I have never flown a 15 Rev, but I imagine it flies a lot like any other good kite in a big size. |
