Demoed the 2011 12m RPM last weekend and loved the kite except for the trim line was extremely difficult to pull. This was whether the line was stuck all the way in or even locked in at the edge of the black plastic grommet. It did not seem stuck as with two hands, I could get it to slide around but it took some muscle. It did not seem stuck or rigged wrong. Just hard to pull. Common problem or abnormal?

prob had some sand binding things - looobrication (as Dr Ruth suggests to get trim)

should be smooth enough to adjust one handed with no donkey dick inserted by just sailing a bit downwind/releasing an edge Thumb's Up

If the trim knob gets flush with the butter box the tubing can stick a bit. I am both proud, and embarrassed to say that my 11 year old kiter son Charlie solved this problem by pushing the knob away--toward the kite--with the heel of the hand, then pull. Works perfectly!

Love my RPMs.
I'm constantly adjusting the trim and I like the way I can change things up on the RPM.
That said - the trim can be difficult to adjust. The more powered up you are, the harder it is to adjust.
I've also caught my skin in the cleat (MF! ouch!) when reducing the amount of line i have pulled out.
Slingshot should provide a better handle (T shaped?) - like maybe the one they advertise on their website?

When I first started using my new RPM's I thought the depower adjustment was hard to use, but after using them a couple of times it got alot easier by pushing the bar away at the moment you want to pull in on the the depower line.
Cheers

Doesn't work well for me, it still sticks, cleats always do since there designed that way! They were not meant for this use. Also my SS spinners has never worked on any of my three bars. Give it up SS and start over. A simple .95 cent two ring spinner works better.

Why is it so hard to get simple things right on bar systems? Patent issues?

Any clue?
