Yo waker's, what's the best Kiteboard boot on the market Question

No brand vs. brand, just want a few opinions before buying.

Cheers,

Probably LF as they are one of the few to make a KITE specific wakeboard boot. Slingshot and Ronix would also be tops. More importantly it is about the boot that fits your foot the best tightens up the best around your foot.

Hadlow is riding the lower end LF, so go figure...

I ride the Ronix Kai CT boots. They are a little stiffer than the Reliks (and a bit cheaper). The majority of people (in Seattle) who kite with Ronix boots use the Reliks.

The LF boots are nice and are kite specific so they tend to stand up a bit better to the abuse of kiting.

Slingshot makes nice boots too, but I didn't like the removable liner (just my preference). Once you are in then they are pretty dope though.

There are tons of other wake boots out there too that you could look at. CWB makes one similar to the FLux snowboard bindings (if that is your thing)

Something to thing about too is winter riding, you may want to go a bit bigger so you can fit a 2mm neoprene sock in there for winter riding. With the lace up (or velcro) system you can tighten then down more when you aren't wearing a sock.

Also, not all boards have the same hole spacing. This means your fancy new boots may not fit on your board without some baseplate mods. Bring your board with you when you get boots to be sure they fit or just buy a new board with the right hole spacing.

All good points, thanks for the input.

Winter riding should be a breeze size-wise b/c I use a gore-tex sock lined with fleece that's super thin.

I'll check out the ones ya'll recommended--keep the opinions coming.

Most expensive is not necessarily the best. Like all things, fit and ease of use should take priority over style and price. I'm using 4 year old Liquid Force Unions as well as a 4 year old board. Easy, soft and comfy. Guaranteed, me not landing a trick has nothing to do with equipment.

I would suggest maybe talking with darren wiley at wiley's watersports in seattle for more information in regards to comparisons.
he is a kiteboarder too.
www.wileyski.com
they used to sell slingshot, LF and best kites, but only sells to the wake and ski market these days.
he can give you some insight on what wake boots work better than others for kiteboarding.
I got my reliks from darren. the one thing I had a concern with on the ronix boots were that they felt too small for my size. I ended up going one full size up and problem solved. keep that in mind on a closed toe system.
he has slingys, LF and ronix boots.
make sure your hole pattern works for your boot or you will need to either mod the boot slot or use toe clamps..

except that board looks flat as a pancake! Make sure the board you are planning to put your boots on is designed to be ridden with boots. It will make a huge difference!

infra has some rocker to it, just not as much as a "legit" boot board.
thing is where we ride, it's light winds, onshore to sideshore with no current to help with staying upwind. in order to kite in these lighter conditions, you must be very efficient at tacking upwind.
it would be safe to say not many gorge kiters would like the summer time experience of kiting at jetty island.
for the gorge, I'll put my boots on my mission 138. that board has plenty of rocker for the gorge conditions.
one popular boot board in lighter conditions around here is the cabrinha caliber. it is much more efficient than the custom for upwindability.
