Any Moms/Dads know if it is legal for a 15 year old with a drivers permit to drive a car on the beach--in locations where driving is allowed--WITHOUT a parent? Are cars treated like ATV's, or are they still cars? Looking for an opportunity for my injured son who cant kite to drive beach shuttle for us.
Thanks,
Eric |

open beaches for driving are considered roads, all laws apply. |

Yeah you will see them patrolling for sure. I would say that as long as he was driving legit it wouldn't be an issue, but better not to risk it. _________________ I heart dangling |

May not be legal, but I've taught my kids to drive on the sunset to shipwreck stretch. I rode downwind while the family followed with a kid driving (mom shotgun).
But it has crossed my mind that my 14 year old could follow solo... Obviously, the need for stoke is clouding my judgement. Still, pretty safe place to teach youngins to drive. And you just might get a downwinder out of it if you play your cards right! |
