In search of some beginner kite buddies...

So I'm looking for some people that could be kiting buddies that I wouldn't slow down by my beginner status. Someone who has taken lessons, and is just starting out on their own would be best I guess...

I'm super stoked to get going this year, but think I need a "freshman" crew to get more comfortable, and have help launching/landing, etc.

Anyone out there fit this description, and have any interest?

I'm most likely a weekday Sauvies after work and HR/Jones on the weekend type, as I am a working stiff who lives in Beaverton and works in Downtown PDX.

its your call but my .02 is I learned a ton from riding with a buddy who is experienced. He gave me lots of little tips that saved me from BIG troubles. Don't worry too much about holding them back. If they're out riding I guarantee they'll get their stoke on even if your body dragging around. Nice to have someone who can actually retrieve your board and such.

i'd be glad to ride with you and watch yer back. I mostly ride Jones, Longview, Kalama, and some coast.

I'll hang with you in the Gorge. It's always nice to have someone let you in on the nuances of the currents and wind. My schedule is fairly limited (kids, job, etc.) but pm me with your info. and let me know when you're in town and I'll see if I can meet you down at the Sandbar or something. Lloyd.
