Brian of Brian's Windsurfing, Kiteboarding and SUP'n is donating his services at a reduced rate to HRCSD students(this is a different group in addition to Eric's group.)

This is an amazing community opportunity that could lead to these kids becoming part of the kiting, windsurfing and suping that takes place in their back yard. We have been learning to swim and they are stoked!!! Thanks Brian, of Brian's Windsurfing!!!

We are gonna be going down there this Friday, June 17th, 2011 from 10am til Noon. If you are a certified Pasa or IKO instructor and you want to donate some time working with these kids give me an email at ronald.cooper@hoodriver.k12.or.us or call me at 541 980 6378 and I'll set you up.

If you are in the kiteboarding industry and you have SHWAG for prizes at the end of the day that would be cool too.

My class has been really looking forward to this all year. Each of the kids are very excited to be able to do this.

Thanks Brian!!!
Ron Cooper

PS~If you are interested in supporting this activity in any way you can please contact me. I am hoping to keep this going through the summer as a way for kids to connect to the joys of windsurfing, kiting, and sup'n. Cheers!!!

Thanks Brian!![img]

I would like to thank Stephany, Chris, Kelly, and most of all Brian for teaching a group of Hood River County School District Kids how to windsurf!!

The students were excited and completely interested in learning how to windsurf. Brian's ability to connect with these young kids was just terrific. He is patient, kind and funny. One student mentioned that, " I like his cool accent.." All of them had tons of smiles the rest of the day.

Every single kid was able to tell me about the wind clock, parts of the board and what a tack and a jibe was.

These kids are from Hood River, but for whatever reason they have not ever been able to access the sport. It's more than likely the cost, transportation and the fact that nobody in their family may have the time or interest to check it out.

Brian donated his services, equipment, and expertise at a super low rate for these kids so that they could come and check out the sport we all love, sailing.

If you read this post and you would like to be a part of sponsoring a kid who may not otherwise get the chance to kite, windsurf, or paddle board please contact me, Ron Cooper at 541-980-6378.

It is very possible that some of these kids lives will be changed by having access to water sports. You can have a direct impact by providing a needy student with a kiteboarding, windsurfing, or paddleboarding lesson. Your support will change a kids life and make his or her summer a terrific memory.

Thanks Brian!!!
PS~If you know kids who want to learn how to sail and don't have the funds to make it happen and live in the area please feel free to contact me. I'll be working on a program to make this happen, thanks
