At what point do you release your edge in the down loop to start your front roll . is the kite on its way down , or do you hold on till its on its way up , or some where in between ?
Thanks for you reply Steve |

You go into a fairly normal front roll, but try to do it a little more vertical and with less than normal forward speed. Time your roll so you get half way around by the apex of your jump. As you start to descend, pull hard with your front hand. You may want to let go with your back hand so you aren't tempted to chicken out once you've initiated the kite loop.
The looping of the kite will whip you around the rest of the way and you'll land more or less straight down wind.
If you initiate the kiteloop when you are still rising, you'll get pulled much harder and are much more likely to get slammed. That's the most critical aspect when learning. Also pick a day when you are powered, but not over powered. |
