It looks rainy and crappy wind everywhere I am looking around here this weekend. I know it's going to be good in Maui and SPI and other places but is it going to not be raining and windy somewhere around here this weekend? I do not have good resources for checking the good spots at the coast so maybe somebody knows a place that might be decent there this weekend? The whole gorge looks rainy and unwindy Anyways, thought I would start a discussion about it, thanks! _________________ Live to kite another day |

It's spring.
Forecasts are shit.
They're only good in the summer.
Go to Hood River. With all the micro-climates on either side, something will pop up. _________________ --------------------------------

Models are showing some crazy stuff this weekend with a low pressure system in the desert. If that scenario really plays out, we’re going to see westerlies in the 27-30 range tomorrow afternoon, with a good chance of 30-plus at Doug’s and possibly Maryhill. However, there’s also a very good chance of thunderstorms in the desert, and that will make the wind a lot lighter and gustier.
Sunday shows a similar pattern, with low pressure and thunderstorms in the desert. I think the best wind will be in the mid-twenties near Hood River in the morning. |

Heck yeah! I was thinking about going out to Hoodie Saturday after I pick up some new kites! It's got a good chance of rain but I gotta get out again and try not to make the news this time haha! Stoked for summer, thanks for helping me out. _________________ Live to kite another day |
