Could use a recommendation on a reasonable and decent mechanic in the gorge for basic Toyota work.

John (Paco) on Tucker road. Might be called 1512 motors?
He has a yellow house and garage with a bunch of Toyotas parked out front. Head south from the Heights and follow road past Good News Garden, around the curve to the right and go another 1/4 mile and it's on the right-hand side.... just past the big church.

Second that for Jesse. Honest opinions and great work. You won't take your truck to anyone else after jesse works on it.

John Taylor. Eagle Scout honesty and work performance.

Paco is damn good with Subies and toyotas, but you have to catch him when he is not overloaded with work.

Both guys are the best at what they do and that is why you will likely have to be patient with sitting on their waiting list. It is worth it.

Appreciate the references. Went to Paco yesterday afternoon who made a great first impression by taking a look under the hood a couple minutes after arrived and diagnosed the problem - oxygen sensor in my 95' Honda is out. Ordered part and will fix tomorrow.
