OT: Some words about ethics by my father

My Dad was here for a few days last week. He survived the Nazi occupation of Holland during WWII, studied at Princeton and went on to teach Chemistry and Computer Science at Kansas State University. He is a brilliant and wise man so I thought I'd share something he wrote about ethics. This document has been a guiding policy at the Department of Computer Science for 15 years.

Thanks for sharing those words.
Interesting to reflect on while thinking about resumes loaded with keywords for search engines that read them to screen for interviews by HR people who don't know what the keywords mean, just have a statistic to hit in order to pass candidates along.
Ethics can get stretched, bent or ignored and sometimes the human becomes more like a machine, e.g. when the "human" decision is 50% match=no interview, 85% match=come on in....

Thanks again for the perspective from someone with foresight from long before we got to where we are now with IT.
