So it looks like these are super small speedwings or small directional parachutes (the two sports appear to be converging), and some oversized wingsuits.

Whatever the hell they are, they (the speedwing/chutes) appear to be both capable of keeping up with the wingsuits AND pulling off a landing! That's impressive!

Landing the tiny chute must take some skillz and timing. Call me paranoid, but if I were flying I wouldn't want anyone remotely close to me!

Wheeee...

Wingers are going as slow as possible, and the parachute is hauling balls... Just enough overlap on the low/high to make this work. Jumpers have been using parachutes as small as 65's... This parachute is not only small, but its relative thickness and profile are very thin... ie... it boogies. This is the second time this group has come together to pull of this stunt. Can't remember the size of the parachute, but remember that he can pull lots of brake and and flare hard. The landing it is not all that bad. What is dangerous is the in-flight logistics and proximity of two flight vehicles that have very different flight characteristics. Pretty damn cool, and all of these guys and gals have skillzs.

Another project they just pulled off was having a winger in proximity with a T-38 Jet Trainer. The high and low speed threshholds were obviously reversed. Ya'all should take up skydiving, as our National Rag carries all the coverage on this kind of crazy stuff.

Adios, Bammer...

Slither... yes, the wingers threw chutes to get down. The Jeb Corillis wingsuit landing project still has some issues to be worked out.

Also, keep an eye out for the Bammer Tandem Base Project this summer. Yeah, been done a ton... just not over the town of Hood River yet...
