There was some great discussion occurring at Snowkite Soldier prior to the events on how to create more objectivity in scoring. I for one coming from Athletics absolutely love seeing this sport move that direction. It's exciting to partake in such an amazing sport, and then to elevate it to new heights.
It will have its consequences, but I'm afraid we won't get away from that being such a visual and publicized sport. |

Aren't they only talking about adding racing for now? You'd think given the snowboard/ski freestyle events and their popularity they'd be more open to other aspects of the sport. For scoring maybe they should have two separate events to make it simpler to judge. Something like the Slider Project event where only rails, kickers, and wakestyle tricks are judged and perhaps a second big air event where the PKRA dudes can go crazy. Seems similar to what's been done with other sports anyway. _________________ The Slider Project, LLC
