Hey all -
Oregon Field Guide wants to do a spot on snowkiting in Oregon / SW Washington... I wanted to reach out to all of you who have had experience snowkiting recently in Oregon and see who might be interested in talking with them.

Not sure if they might want to try to get footage too?

Either post here or send me a PM with your contact info (phone number / email.)

Cheers!
-Phil

Last time someone did a report on snowkiting in Oregon the parks department shut thier spot down (bend)... hhhhmm not sure I want them filming me and risk losing my secret spot to bastard ignorant hardcore enviromentalists. Sometimes keeping things on the down low is the better option and easier than fighting the goverment to ever change or reverse thier knee jerk no brain block headed reactions, not to mention deal with thier god complex's....

Think about that before you draw attention to your snowkiting locations.

Southern oregon has been open for snowkiting since before any event was organized in a wilderness area...guess ill be the only one who supports this and the growth of the sport.

The deed is done. Might as well sell her to the general public and see if you can scrounge a living and have a blast.

The cutting edge of kiting has dulled down and now its ready for some silicone valley one weekend a year (or lifetime) warriors with deep pockets aka tourists .

As controling as the gov and treehuggers are the wilderness is big and kites are small, sort of like finding a needle in a haystack.

If only they would log more trees and build some higher roads

Take them to southern oregon and hood Sol , Bend is closed
