I have a friend heading to Kauai in a few weeks and he wants to take some kiting lessons.
Do you have a suggestion on who he should hire?

I saw some windsurf rentals at Anini Beach, they might have something, it is pretty protected, but not sure how the reefs would be for a beginner body dragging.

There is a kiteboarding concession that does lessons at the south end of town of Kapaa which is just north of the airport on the east side of the island. I didn't notice the name of the company when I was there, but you might be able to find it thru Google. |

Sad to say, but not very good beginner conditions there. At least none that I found. I've been there twice and the only decent launch I found was pretty much advanced to expert. I would recommend taking a puddle jumper to Maui or just enjoy Kuai and surf. Then come back SPI and do your learnin. _________________ "I don't believe in doing work that I don't want to do in order to live a life that I don't want to live."
