End of February I Will be making brief (7-8 hour) stops in the Ports of Samana,DR; Road Town, Tortola; St.Johns, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; and Basseterre, St Kitts ; on A Cruise with my wife. Hoping to get a couple warm water sessions in.
Any info on locations close to these ports for kiting? Is equipment available for Rent or should I plan on bringing my own? Regulations? If I bring my kites should I bring the whole quiver or can I get by with my two smaller/larger kites (7.5m,10m,12m)?
Any and all info appreciated.

I'm headed to Barbados/St. Vincent and Grenadines Feb16-March 1st.
I'm just bringing 9m/12m/Glide/Twin. That area is 15-20 ENE pretty much everyday from what I see. Time I've spent down there that is all I've ever needed.

Looks like the spot in Barbados is Silver Sands, even has kites in the aerial photo

Probably 20min taxi from port

This guy has a bunch of videos from places south of Barbados.

I'd recommend Google Earth and look for south facing beaches of the islands and check how far they are from your port. Ports are most likely on westward side of the islands.

Have fun on your trip

February is awesome in Antigua, we had wind everyday and I was out on a 7m or 9m. From St. John's rent a car and drive north and then east to Jabberwock beach, it's about a 10 or 15 minute drive. Kite Antigua is usually there everyday and he rents everything you might need. Whatever you do, don't stay in St. John's, the rest of the island has way more to offer!

I've stayed at Silver Sands too...there's another kite beach just north called Long Beach and is, uh, longer, but I think the Silver Sands beach is better.

Just got back from Barbados and sailing in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Barbados was great. 20+ wind everyday. Silver Sands and Long Beach were both great.
Mayreau and Tobago Cays also had great places to ride but you'll need a boat to get there.

This site was spot on for forecasts when I was down there.
