Anyone ever kited by netarts near the mouth of the bay? Looked real nice with butter on the inside and waves outside. Nice beaches to launch. Was wondering if the current gets hairy there at the outlet? _________________ Haole |

It's kiteable when the stars align... namely NW wind with outgoing tide. North winds wont work. |

Yes, Netarts and Oceanside are great places to kite. Search around on the forum. Many posts with beta on the spots, dangers, and past sessions waaaaay better than you'll ever have |

Yeah Netarts is $$$$. One of my favorite spots to ride on the coast, shallow butter around the sandbar and nice peelers on the outside....wakeskate and skim paradise |

True, it is a fickly bitch and one needs NW to WNW wind. Not true, don't need outgoing tide. Can do either, outgoing just gives you more power in the current zone and makes it more hairy when and or if you become separated from your board. Not to say flood tide won't take your board out to sea in the channel zone, but there is a lot less flow and of course tide and wind traveling in the same direction will decrease your power.
Go at high tide for lagoon butter. Lots of boats and crab pots, more so on the weekends. |

fun spot - respect the inlet on outgoing = but not the most fun spot to spend an hour wondering if you are making any progress back to the beach (other low points might include dropping your 19m fuel and watch it over take you in the current against the wind as you get flushed out to sea - God if you let me relaunch i promise... - hey its windy again - this is fun!) _________________ Go Deep!
