I'm headed for a 4-day weekend in SLC on Thursday. Does anyone have advice on where to kite and what size(s) to bring? What are the chances of scoring some good wind? |

Powder Mountain has a riding area you can access from the top parking lot (we didn't even buy the $20 ticket since we could just ride from near the parking lot). Also, Strawberry Hill is somewhat near Park City. Then there's Skyline but it's a longer drive. In my experience somewhat bigger kites come in handy. For inflatables you can probably use anything from an 8 to 16m. If only bringing 2 kites I might do a 10 and 14m. Adjust size for foils accordingly. Search for Utah snowkiting info on Google. I think there's a website that lists a bunch of riding areas. _________________ The Slider Project, LLC

Each day, Kenny gives the forecast as to which spots are going to be best. Strawberry past Heber and Skyline near Fairfield are the 2 main spots with people kiting almost everyday. On a good day, it is off the charts at both these locations. You will see a bunch of NWKite people at each spot.
