I went to LV and Los Barriles this winter. Both were great. Wish I had spent more time sailing LB--better swell. Don't get me wrong, LV kicks ass too; and so do that tasty Mexican Brew!

As always when traveling:
Bring your small one, medium, and a very large one. If you havent already, make a short line bar 23m and a long line bar 27-30m, this is a good way to streach your quiver. Pack a light wind board as well as your everyday board. Of course you could leave the light wind stuff behind so there is more room to bring back some Tequilia!!!!
Have Fun

When are you going? I think the wind starts to taper off down there pretty soon. Been to Barriles though this january was my first kiting there. Love it, though I've heard the crew up in ventana tends to be a little younger, alittle more camp on the beach style. But I don't think you can really go wrong down there. Brik

The inside is hot and dead at this time of year.
Best bet is on pacific side.
If you do go Punta Chivato is a cool place and BIG kites, when I was there last it was 6.5 windsurfing and barely at that.
Really cool place otherwise.
Loretto has a really nice golf course, fishing is awesome.
This area is really nice but also very sketchey. Beware of your surroundings and stay where americans are. Setups are very common in this area of baja. Be very carefull, look poor.
Pacific can be very windy, so plan on bringing a whole quiver.

If your going this time a year, the Pacific side is windy. I have taken many trips to San Carlos in the spring and its like clock work everyday. however, its a long drive. I dont know what is available to fly into comercially on the Pacific side. There is an airstrip in San Carlos if you have the means.

May have hit it just right but looks like ok 18 to 20 mph day in Loreto.
Flight out of La Paz was canceled, routed to Loreto to wait for a flight.
Searched here for Loreto. If you get stuck here, there are some options.
