Is there typically enough beach to launch a kite when high tide is around 6 foot in the winter? Last time I was there, it wasn't much more than 6 foot high tide, but there must have been a lot of rain because the water level was lapping agaist the grass. I even walked up to the point...same story.

I don't like putting my kite in the coastal grass because it tends to poke holes.

Yeah, avoid that grass fo sho!

If the waters too high you can launch on the river side...be cautious if the outgoing current is super strong.
