I've been using the MM5-12km graphics loop for planning sessions on the south coast of Oregon. It's been pretty good. Sensors are pretty thin down here so models can't possibly verify too much. It's been a little better than ikite's Wind Flow Viz map from what I can tell. Not a whole lot of resolution but we take what we can get down here. I usually put Airnet, NOAA marine, NOAA weather, ikite and the MM5 in a pot and stir it around and see what I get.

Always looking for that perfect Magic 8 Ball forecast.....Anyone have some favorite underground mathematical voodoo products that they use for sizing up the wind situation...

I especially like the fire-hose fallout projection loop for an eruption of Mt. Saint Helens. You can scroll down on the 12km menu and get other elevation predictions. But here's one for 18k ft winds.
