Dates for next years Bridge of The Gods Kiteboarding Festival have been set for August, 19 through 21, 2011. This is the third weekend in August and hopefully the wind will cooperate.

This weekend was selected after consultation with KB4C, Nitinat WindFest, Skamania County Fairgrounds, Stevenson Chamber of Commerce and the Port of Skamania. This was the only weekend after the 4th of July that would allow us to have camping and other activities at the fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday night.

There wont be much activity on the event for a few more months but if you'd like to get involved and help out next year please contact me and I'll hook you up with things to do. Smile

Mark / Phil / Nicole: can someone add this to the Events calendar for me? Thanks!

I am taking the lead position in this year's BOTG.

Here is the organizational structure we will be using in order to share the work load.

1. Command (leader) Me, Directs all other positions and takes on responsibilities as needed

2. Finance Tony, Pays bills, gets licenses, He is also going to be the port, city and parks liaison.

3. Logistics/ Sponsorship, signs, promotional stuff. does a lot of running around getting schwagg.

4. Operations, runs the competition, organizes launch/landing team, assembles supplies and gets event site prepared for the event. Carol will be updating the web site.

5. Planning, Steve & Tony, responsibilities are self explanatory

6. Safety, puts together a safety plan and communicates that plan to competitors. Ensures that the safety plan complies with the insurance policy.

Awesome work Jim! Thanks for taking the time to put them up. There are a few in there I'd like to consider using for the 2011 poster. I'll get with Steve and review with him then let you know.
