I think Aaron Sales has had the most success on The Plains of Ab. As you can see the terrain is pretty epic from the photos but solid winds is pretty rare. About five years ago we tried to organize "kite explosion" as grassroot event. We got rain out two years in a row, so it got renamed "kite implosion".
