I have been kiting on a newer style of snow skate and I love it. It seems like most kiters these days have a surfboard in their quiver. A snow skate is just like that. Everyone should have one. I dont want to snow kite with my snowboard and bindings any more.

This one is made in California and I think he got the shape just right. The asymmetrical ski combined with the aft mounted deck is super user friendly. It just wants to turn. Holds and edge well and goes upwind like a charm. Its fun to do different tricks on the turn. Step on it and it wants to work for you.

I am soooooo stoked on this for snow kititng. I used it mostly in packed powder, groomed powder and 4 inches of fresh powder on soft groomed.

Im not kidding, all I think about now is getting out on the snow skate with my kite.

Probably not so swell for floaty glides off cornices tho
