What we used to make the video, well its an all digital workflow for starts.
We are using Canon still cameras that realy are not optimized for video but if gives you access to a huge range of pro Still Quality lens, and that is the largest factor. We have to shoot all manual but that is what we would shoot anyways. Coming from photography and just learning film is cool. Edit is done on Final Cut pro.
Photography is almost all about lighting and it is the same with Film so yeah we had to film only at the right times of day. We tried to put some time into the project since we are just learning, the next one will be built off of everything we learned making COASTAL CURRENTS.
The ktw Team is pretty much my awesome Dad, rob rebstock who did 95% of the filming... IT is not easy shooting with these cameras so i had to help setup each shot. Mike from killedthewind helped with production and distribution. And I shot all the non-riding shots and did all the editing.."the files are in the computer"...
