Waaow. I just popped this kids little bubble. Seriously, anyone who deals in extremes or absolutes is just silly. Do you know how ridiculous you sound saying that a professional kitesurfer has NEVER used straps?????? Nobody always or never does anything. Just stop. 
Once again, Alldredge has a personal preference to ride strapless so it is obvious he HAS used straps. This is contrary to your un-researched, hasty comment from above. You really sound closed minded and naive.

thanks for the stoke shawn. it's raining and 50 degrees here. i used to surf/windsurf all up and down the east coast and remember the fall days the best.
