Steep and deep still rules! But I am very excited to try snowkiting.
It seems Idaho is the closest?
I have family in Salt Lake UTAH. What's best places and time of year to go there?

My favorite time is middle Feb to middle of March.
Great snow depth, longer days to kite,
and the storms passing by
make for fresh snow, and wind. |

Free lodging in Utah is a good deal if you can make that work.
Feb's a good month for ID too _________________ Join the CGKA! Membership is only $10! Sign up at http://cgka.net/become-a-member/ |

I'm really looking forward to the snow season!
Its gonna be off the hook this year as a lot of things are being planned.
I'll be sure to update everyone once we get some dump'ns down in southern
oregon.

That last shot is great Sol.
Cap....for SLC Utah hit Skyline. It's well known with established kiting roots.
Take Interstate 15 south from Salt Lake City and exit on Highway 6/89. Take Highway 89 to Fairview. After exiting, look for Highway 31 and proceed up the canyon to the ridgeline. Pull off after mile marker 13 near the parking pullouts on the side of the road. The flat, open area near the parking lot offers a great setup location. |
