I know everyone was hoping for another good rooster day. As a regular here even on non-windy days, thought I would share on-the-ground info. Wind is picking up and I plan to give the 12m a shot. Regardless, its a beautiful sunny day here!
(My attorney has advised me to add the following to my posts going forward: To the person who has recently been engaging in stalking and threatening behavior toward me, this is not to be construed as an invitation to communicate with or approach me.)

I'd say that SI or the coast is a way better bet for your 12m. Things are shaping up nicely for SI. 9mph from the North. I think it will be just like yesterday.

The Rooster looks flat at 10:40am - but sunny in the fall rocks for a bike ride!

FYI, the cam at rooster is aimed pretty far west in the park, and the sensor is in a wind shadow on easterlies. On light wind days, I have found that there's often much much more wind at the eastern tip of sand island, where you can kite up into the shallows toward Bridal Veil.
Today was 12m easterly for a little while, complete with white caps, then actually very briefly 12m westerly before dying midday. Doable, and done, though I'll admit not as intense as last time it blew there!

Any chance of getting the camera turned a little more east. The few times I have been there leads me to beleive the camera is pointed way to west for the best view of the kiting and wind conditions. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True dat. Although the sensor really isn't in a shadow, it's just that it can be windy at the east end when it's glassy calm in front of the camera. The cliffs up there form a natural funnel which can accelerate the wind given the right circumstances. Some of my best days kiting ever have been at the east end of RR when the main section is calm...
This sensor is located near Skamania Island. The gust factor is generally pretty close to the steady state winds at the East end of Rooster.

And BTW, Rooster is windy RIGHT NOW!

I don't know what is up with the wind at Rooster this weekend.
According to the new ikitesurf sensor, yesterday was blowing West at Rooster while Stevenson was blowing East.
Today it says the wind went from East 20 to West 10 in about half an hour.
It looks spooky foggy now.
