The weather archives at Cutbank show 30+ winds every day for the last 6 days, several with sustained winds over 40 with gusts over 50.
We were lucky to reel in two of these days over the weekend with a group of about ten who camped out and accepted the challenge of really high winds. We all made it home safely and I hope everyone wants to come back for more with new heavy wind weapons.
On Wed Mike and I decided to go east to Tiber and at noon we both threw up our 5's. 86 degrees, sunshine and the beautiful wide open waters of Tiber were as good as it gets. 40mph with gusts over 50 at Havre, the wind definetly had something driving it across the plains. Havre is at least 200 miles from the front and it was blowing the same everywhere along that northern corridor. |
