I had no idea that the ponds would be so good on a south wind. Was a nice suprise and think I have found my favorite south wind spot. Was abit punchy during rain spurts but I got to get all giddy with new gear, flying the new 2011 epic screamer and renegade for the first time but was alot of fun. Eric was nice enough to get some pics of me and my instructor buds from Alaska.

SO for all of you at the coast on Sunday when that swell jumps up to 12 feet and victory at sea, shoot over and get some flat water lovin. Razz

walked down the wildlife view path and out to a little sand spit on the east end. I had only kited it on east wind so glad to know it works with other directions. Got my new favorite winter spot.

Yep.
It's the spot for winter.
Warm southerlies.

Nor Bay is even better on SW and South winds.
Waist deep and sand bottom.
Safer because it is surrounded by a sandbar so you can't go wrong.

North American speed record for GPS windsurfing was broke at Nor Bay 2 times in the winter.

Tide dependent though...like the ponds.
