Mon Sep 20, 10 12:00 pm SI with SSW winds... is it doable? |
|
|
Last two days it's been blowing there and I wonder if it's even worth the effort. The last year work has pulled me away from kiting. Two weeks ago I went to Maui for Vacation and couldn't resist any more... I had to buy new gear. Rode at kitebeach! Was Awesome.... Now I have new gear I'm jonesing to go again! |

I'm probably going to go to the HR event site in about an hour. I am supposed to get off at 5 but I usually try to get outta here about 4:15 or so on a windy day like today. It's looking pretty windy. If anybody wants to chip in a buck or two or five for gas from NE Portland and back hit me up! three six oh 931-0290. It will prob just be me heading out there around 4:30pm from my house on Alberta and 32nd Ave in Portland and I'm heading straight to the ES in Hoodie. I usually only get about an hour or two tops on the water so the gas is getting a little expensive for a little sesh like that. Anyways, you get the point, just let me know if anybody wants a ride tonight.

Those SSW winds are the creation of devils and gypsies. They seem solid, strong, and totally doable. I'm not going to say "don't do it" because that's just lame. But be ready for some heartache and some swimmin'. _________________ --------------------------------

If I remember right, SSW puts the wind coming in slightly over the trees behind the dike. SE is the clean direction. _________________ Lets FLY |
