Okay, the weather appears to be crapping out, but hey, it's not that bad.

Fall brings us the bad assed easterlies, and lots of other things to do.

Here's a little video from Nate Appel/Cineaptic Productions to help remind you why the NW is the place to be, cloudy or not.
Courtesy of 7D, so watch this full screen for full effect.

Enjoy.

Good stuff as usual. Liked Tekko's guest appearance at the end.

Pepi,

Looks like you guys had a nice smooth trip; did you guys come all they way from the Puget Sound?

Welcome to your new slip.

How much sailing did you actually get to do on your journey? Was it mostly fuel powered?

I am going to make a trip very similar to yours once my name is called from the wait list.

Since the boat needed some maintenance work, we had it trucked from Anacortes(WA) down to Schooner Creek boatworks in Portland.
Long story short, it ended up spending almost the whole summer getting rigging and shaft work.

We motored from Jensen Beach up to Rooster, anchored for the night, then motored up to the locks and sailed the rest of the way to Hood River. So, actually only sailed about halfway, but was a very nice run. Didn't want to really push the boat as the rigging still needs to be tuned, but got up to 8.6knts which was pretty good for such a wide cruiser boat as ours.

Definitely look forward to having some NWKite boat parties up at Govt Cove with Gman, Chanson, Rollor and anyone else who's game for some fun.
