Well yesterday was probably my last day kiting in the gorge for the season, I'm leaving thursday and am doubtful it will blow between now and then. (still crossing my fingers) So I decided today would be a good day to share some cool facts about my summer.

I rode 218 hours this season over 88 days.
Taught around 98 lesson.
45 where teaching people how to fly a 4 line kite.
Another 27 for getting up on the board/tricks.
that's 161 more hours in the water for a total of 379 hours in the water with a kite
I flew 17 different kites this year
rode 17 different boards as well
Kited in 10 different location in 3 different states and 2 different countries
spent $593.94 on new kite gear and kiting repairs
spent $430.58 on fast food/Dinning out
Had my picture published on two websites/magazines
met a whole lot of really cool people
And apparenly posted 63 times this season.

Hopefully you all got to kite as much as I did this year and at least learned one new trick if not maybe at least you made a new friend.

Look for me next year or maybe hitting up Rooster when it is blowing nuclear this winter Very Happy

I make it out to WY at least twice a year, summer and winter, and have now been skunked at the Big Sandy four times...I hope to make it out to do some snow kiting this coming season - r u involved in that at all? Or r u just kiting on frozen lakes during the winter Surprised

Big sandy is a sweet place but the weather used to be tricky! We have studied the weather for awhile now and we pretty much have it figured it out! I have been skunked there 3 times this season. But have kited almost 50 days there this summer! Mostly 9 and 11 meter. Miday can be GUSTY but the last two to three hours are aswesome!
As far as snowkiting goes I am pretty sure we have some of the best kiting around! Pretty much any day no matter the weather we can kite at one of our spots. Easily 10 spots! Check out some of the snowkiting pics on "jackson hole kiters" on facebook. If you come out again you should look me up for some epic kiting. That goes for anyone! All of our spots can handle tons of kiters and its all on national forest.

Check out this video from last winter! http://www.vimeo.com/14916699
