Any recommendations for a good chop board (not surf...yet) for newbie kiter with pending knee replacement?

for a twin tip Ocean rodeo mako. (I have a used one I would give you a good deal on) It is a more ballanced stance then other twin tips with more concave .

Litewave Spirit with the cushy Lightwave Dave bindings are great. I can kite for hours without pain to my knees.

OR Mako 140x40 is what I have experience with and it eats the bumps and has soft landings .

Anything sans straps will be best for your knees.

Underground boards from NZ are super flexible and have made it easier on my knees since I started riding them 2 years ago. I've had 2 knee surgeries and just ordered another Underground.

Try the North X-ride if you want a twin tip. It's smooth in the chop and a really good freeride board. I'm on my third ACL myself, so I feel your pain.

Wainman Joke is something worth checking out. 134-138-142

I prefer it over new Blunt II, but Blunt is still sweet.

Thanks all. I'll be trying a few of these out soon. This is such a great sport. Wish I'd found it when I had knees.

BroKite 137. Has rocker and concave. Great board for a beginner on up and is great in the chop and you'll love it in the swell. Just Sayin'
