Hi,
My bar floaters are trashed. Anyone know where to pick up some new ones? Through North, a North retailer, NSI? Are they even necessary? Some say their only purpose is to float the bar. Others say that they somewhat prevent loose lines from accidentally wrapping around the bar ends. |

I've gotten North parts through TJ at Big Winds in Hood River. The floaters aren't integral to the bar, but they do cover the attachments at the bottom, so if you're not on the longest line setting you may have some floppage to contend with. |

I got a fuck ton of spare parts in my shop. Plenty of floats and do-dads. At swap meet prices. I'm in HR out by the WAAAM museum and home mostly. PM or call me when you are around and you can come by and I'll dig out my box of floats. Or you could go buy some pipe insulation, put that around the leaders and wrap it with some tape. Ghetto floats, lol. |

The floats are also handy so the slack lines don't get wrapped around your fingers or hands and sever them. |
