OK, so its the final couple days of the kokanee crankworks in whistler. Here is a vid of the qualifying runs in the slopestyle event.

http://www.vimeo.com/14120810

You can fast forward to around 1:30 to get right to the action. Having just been up there, I can tell you that the features that these guys are hucking themselves off are
FUCKING HUGE. Not just "wow" that is big huge, I mean bone crunching, testicle shrinking, no way in hell I would ever do that huge. That platform at 1:31 is at least 50' high.

When these guys fall, they often go to the hospital.

Shiiiit, Kiteme's mom went off that jump and did a table top. Course she's 6'4 230 and used to play for the steelers...

they spend allot of time in the foam pit before taking it to the dirt but those guys have a certain amount of crazy in them for sure.

You can't drown in dirt, but you can paralyze yourself pretty well.

MonkeyBoy, just got a new stem and bars and the jumps are so much smoother. Starting to whip a little in both directions.

Nice! did you get a set of really wide bars? I see allot of people running them these days.

Still one more whistler trip planned for this year.....

He got some 28" (same as mine I think). Not super wide like some people but pretty wide. I think some people run 29 or even more.

Post up some Whistler footage monkey. Even if it looks crappy it'll be interesting to check out. I haven't seen much of the 2nd/3rd day riding.
