Hey guys!

Sam Light and Rick Jensen are going on a road trip tomorrow headed down to San Francisco. They are looking for the best flat water spot to hit on their way down.

Any suggestions and/or forecasts?
Best places to crash..

Cheers,

nick.

Siletz Bay and Floras Lake would be good spots to check out. Maby even Nehalem bay at the state park? Other than that I'm not sure.

Oh and when they get down to Cali have them check out Sherman Island....its an amazig flatwater wakestyle spot.

Can't think of a better flat water place than the Oregon coast.......

You would think pros would even comprehend that. Twisted Evil

Just west of the sand is usually good. Rolling Eyes

does that help.. there is a spot link above.

I kited across nehalem once. sketch!! i think with the right tide and wind (southerlies) it could work though. at low tide theres a huge sandbar on the 101 side. for flatwater, floras is pretty much as good as it gets. the scenery is pretty hard to beat and the campgrounds sweet.

chooch, you cleared to kite yet? be in pdx tuesday.

Pistol River is worth a look. Small but workable. The mouth is almost closed and very little tidal influence now. The very north end is semi sheltered by dune. Not as buttery as Floras though. Super beautiful spot. Worth riding there just because.

And we have wind. 7m last few days. Mighty light today but should be back in it for the rest of the week.

PM if you need an on-site.

Thanks Guys!

I think Flores is the call. I might have them stop by Pistol River as well.

Cheers,

Nick
