Interesting..... But for me the best part was your title "Kiteboarding Has Ruined My Life"
I normally paint my house every 10 years or so. Today the ladders are leaned up against the house, I'm checking iKite, and it's been 14 years since the last paint job. House looks like hell, trash is piling up, discovered kiting in 2006. But happy. Can't say as much for the wife.

It is possible to have a life and kite. Today I took the garbage to the dump and since I was in HR I hit the river. Wife is happy, I'm happy.
BTW love the 8M RPM - lots of 7s and 6s out but 8 had enough depower to handle the gusts. |

The kitelife is like riding strapless...all about balance. The "forecast" is really a wife barometer and why that 3:00 - 7:00 pm Gorge wind is great to plan around. "Here honey,I made you coffee and changed the diaper.Have a GREAT day and how about I bring home dinner tonight.....say....8:00 or so after I get back from a quick session after work." Works every time.
I take my hat off to the Portland and Seattle guys who burn precious time to hunt the wind.....definite warriors. |
