I got some of that sea foam and dumped into my tank. Now I'm gonna try 14mtr. lines.
Cheers,

So being new I don't really know. How long are normal lines and how does having your lines be 14m affect the kite performance? _________________ Captain kook; always wrong. |

Typical lines are in the 22 meter range. Shorter lines means faster turning kite but you sacrafice power and boostability for speed and stability.
Short lines can be good for the surf and I have a shorter pair for my 7m rev for super lit and gusty days.
I would say don't worry about changing your line lengths. 98% of people run standard lines If your hungry for more info you can google it _________________ Bury me standing cause I won't lay down!!

I am newer to the sport but I have found my 20 meter lines to work better with my 7m than my 25 meter lines. Appears to be more stable in higher wind. |

short lines are so good for surf.
If you want to try short lines without cutting your stock lines
I have a set of 30 meter line sets ---still in plastic.
Cut the lines in half and make two 15 meter line sets.
Simple.
Split the line and make loops on the one end.
Good to go.
$75 for a four line set that will make 2 full 15m linesets.
PM me. _________________ SPACESTICK

I'm not actually interested in changing my lines at the moment. This is my first season so it's still too soon to worry about that. I was just curious about how the change effected the kite. _________________ Captain kook; always wrong. |

Yo zippy is that on a short / short pulley bar?
I have a 16 meters set up on one of the bar quiver and 18" bar and for the coast it just seemed to quick to window edge.
I was turning the kite as much as being underpowered...
I suppose after a few days the gear syncs back into the rythme just like anything new. |
