I dunno, I think my boycott ikitesurf facebook page has about 25 friends?

It was our way to try and push a sauvie sensor but that is still not happening. Apparantly, they tried to install it this year but couldn't because of a territorial osprey attacking the installers.

True. IKite did try and install a sauvies sensor about a week ago. It was a tremendous effort to get this approved thru the bureaucracy of the coast guard; and lots of lobbying by us kiters. When they did go up they ran into a bit of a snafu. See Pic. Now it looks like we will have to wait until the bird is gone.

Haven't looked at that profile in awhile, I had like 14 friend requests pending. Total of 31 friends now.

31 people boycotting.. and what is the membership per year.. $120 That's $3700 a year in revenue that they could of had if they just installed a sensor long ago. Not like we begged and begged for the damn thing.

They are trying at least and when they get it installed and updated then I'll disband the facebook group.

FYI.. the current sauvie sensor is not calibrated correctly based on observations yesterday. Its reading way too high...like 5 knots to high.

Yes... And if Hatteras boycotts it... And Cape Cod boycotts it... And Point Betsie boycotts it... And Maui boycotts it... And South Padre Boycotts it... And Fort Lauderdale boycotts it... And Grand Haven boycotts it... And Narragansett Bay boycotts it...

A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. Viva la raza!

WeatherFlow has had some problems but they still have the best near the water coverage in the Gorge and many other locations. Their graph style reporting and update frequency is un-equaled.

Boycott; really? LOL Shocked
Just be patient; reaaaaally patient.
Or sign up to help setup/maintain stations.
and learn to correlate data with actual conditions.
(Easy way is to look at the graph after you get off the water.)

Many have relied on WeatherFlow since the pager days.
Yep; no cell phones, no internet; just hoist
the pager up the pole at Roosevelt.
