Hey guys,
I'm a kiter from Toronto heading to Vancouver Island in August for a wedding. I'm staying for an extra 10 days to get some kiting in and looking for recommendations.
I've read about Nitnat and want to go there for 3-4 days but I also want to kitesurf some Ocean swell. Anyone know how the wind is on the coast near the end of August and where the best beaches for kiting are? I'll be near Tofino to start off.

check out kiteboardbc.com and bigwavedave.com for info
port alberni just developed a new kite spot this year and china creek rocked last year when i was the only person out in 9m wind all day.
have a fun trip |

| In Tofino now and it's going off. Kcheck today's/tmrw conitions and forecast. That is what u really want to look for. Sept/Oct can be sick but you really need to know ocean and waves to kite here. Google long beach lodge web cam for a cox bay live feed |

Thanks for the info guys. Port Alberni looks like it'll be a great spot to hit.
The coast is definitely getting great wind today, have a good session! |
