word on the street is they are pretty damn dope and much better than the one the came out with last year.

I do believe Nate has ridden it. I rode Blakes twin skim and I can say that the designs are allot of fun. Blakes had really thick foam on the top that felt awesome and rally helped with controlling the board.

Your thinking of the LF wakeskate MB. This is the first year of the LF Skim

Tekko was killing it at the event site last summer on that thing (didn't get a chance to pry it from his hands...)

I rode it briefly and it felt great. Float of a skim, but twin tip maneuverability closer to a wake skate. The people I talked to that tried it were all pretty stoked.

It's actually a pretty fun board.

Not exactly a true-skim, but that's why it's called the "twin-skim"
more of a combo between a wakesurfer outline /construction(bomber), wake-skate, and skim(rocker).....so more of an all around board..

So, it will go in marginal winds like a skim with it's flat rocker...
It will ride both ways like a wakeskate...(although try and steeze it out with bigspins, shuv-its, etc) Wink
And it will probably last forever with the construction..( I hit the funbox and pickle numerous times last year on the prototype and it was bomber )
So, riding in the "skim" like a skim won't de-lam your board over time.

After riding the proto-type for awhile a few of us decided it would be cool to have 2 "slightly" different tips...
one is fatter: better for true-POP olling, etc...
one is more pintail-ish : better for driving the board like bottom turning, or just faster, and better release..

Best thing to do is hit up Tekko for a demo....I think it's a cool board, you just have to see if it's for you....And I bet you can count on more "fun" strapless boards to come out from LF in the future...

Pepi will have em when they come in I bet.

Tekko's got a mad video of me riding the 2nd prototype in the kidde pool and out into the "river-break" that was pretty cool.......
Tekko, you still got that?? It wasn't that bad was it..?
Cool

Shipment should be arriving Mid April. Demo maybe earlier.

Yes, we'll have demos and yes, they will be selling for only $299.

We also have the Surftech Roush Carbon Wood Twin Skims for around $99 (a bit smaller than the LF).

Definitely going to demo one. I want a cross between the pop of a wakeskate and the speed/float of a skim. This may be the answer.

We will also have the new LF Venture Fish that we are adding to our directional/skim board line in the shop. $299 as well!

I checked into this thread a while ago and bookmarked it knowing I had a custom twin skim on the way. It has finally arrived:

It's an amazing ride and has the same rocker as a kiteskate so it's possible to pop and do some basic tricks. At the same time it's great for riding in light wind and hitting small waves. I've never had as much fun in 10 knots as I did on it yesterday.

I highly recommend everyone gets a great light wind board like this.
