Hi Everyone,
My mountain bike was stolen off of my car on Thursday night on Oak street right in front of the Hood River Hotel. We even had the pleasure of watching the masked guy with bolt cutters removing the bike from my car but we were not fast enough to stop him from getting away with my bike. Here is a description: Works Red 2009 mint condition Intense tracer VP. Medium sized frame with 36 Talus front fork, all shimano XT components, ignitor tires, Mavic wheels with pro-hope hubs, clipless pedals, diva seat. It was close to 6K new so a really sweet bike. My condolences - sweet bike indeed! Will watch out for it (CL, eBay, etc). Is finetoothcog still up and running.
Bike thieves are the lowest form of scum in my book. I have an idea for a national bike registry (if there isn't already one) that would link to a site like finetoothcog designed to alert you to sales postings potentially of your bike.

Wow, that sucks bad. That sounds like a pimp bike indeed.
Can I ask what kind of lock/cable the cut?> God my blood would be boiling to see them stealing my bike and not catch them. Bike thieves are indeed the scum of the earth and at times ruthless.
I had some friends lock all of their bikes together (five) on the balcony of their second story hotel room at Whistler. Somehow they managed to climb up to the balcony and steal all five bikes!!!
