Mon May 10, 10 4:51 pm board repair question |

There is a two inch crack in the top layer of my Underground board. It seems to be a thin layer of fiberglass roving or perhaps a plastic laminate? Would my best fix be to sand the spot down and do a fiberglass patch, or would sun cure resin do fine? Thanks

My camera sucks as bad as my microsoft paint skills so this is the best I could do. The crack is the small line between the logo and the front of the foot pad.

On a snowboard a crack like that usually means it's not just the top layer that has snapped. (meaning it's a total loss)
On most snowboards you also get a "livelong" warranty for damage like this.
I don't know if that's the same with kiteboards.
I can tell you that if you have a wooden core, your top layer is probably no longer stopping water from reaching it.
When this happens your board is completly ruined.

Underground is VERY strong at standing behind their products. Probably worth contacting them before attempting any repairs.
