YouTube Helmet cam videos are fun to watch, but do they have some value for newbs and learning?

If so, any advice? (specific videos and what to watch for)

Thanks,

PS

I agree. Go pro cameras are cool for you, ..and you alone. They're not good for teaching because it's only a POV. Get someone to videotape you from shore with a traditional video camera so you can see your form & stance, etc. and learn from it. Video is a great tool for learning; but a go-pro video is plain hard to watch-- even if it's of you.

they have those mounts for them now, that actually go on your kite lines (i thinks its stringer who makes them) not sure, but, i definatly think that would be better (if you dont have the option of having someone else film you) because its easier to watch and you can see your stance, style, ect

Asking for some feedback from someone on the beach is going to be more usefull than watching vids of other kiters. Unless your trying to learn tricks. Just don't watch slomo videos of reuban and then try to copy his actions

Ok..pop off huge, spin to the left, then spin right and pass the handle....SLAM ooooh look at the pretty flashing spots Smile
