I completely disagree. That's why I went in early, showed the TSA the bars etc and it was all good. Going down under may be different - but I have had no problems in the US/Mexico/Carribean.
Not sure why you wouldn't check a bag anyway. You pay for it, it's only another 20 minutes added to your trip to pick it up from baggage. Your deal - do whatever.....
And ewww. Don't pee in your wet suit. Gross.

You mean everybody doesn't pee in their wetsuit? My first surfing lesson way back when I was a little grom was to pee in your wetsuit as soon as you get in the water to get it all nice and toasty warm!
