so write your name on all your stuff and maybe we can bust some asshole for grand theft, a fellony, this person would be in jail for a year at least, sucks to think you cant have three kites because two might get stolen??? just write your name ten times on that baby?? each wing tip, all struts, leading edge, bar, bag, its the best we can do.. and forget about keeping it pritty, or resale, i say kite recycle, 0r just send them to me?? _________________ -know as the SECRET AGENT- |

I write my name and number on my gear in case it's lost, and never let it out of my sight hoping it's not stolen. If it is I assume I won't get it back regardless of how permanent I write on it, but I guess that would devalue it some for them as not being "original owner" if they try to resell it. It'll still get resold and unlikely recovered is my guess.
Personally I write with a Sharpie on a paper mailing label and then cover it with packing tape to make it waterproof. Removal is kind of a pain but cleans up entirely with GooGone. I treat my boards well so the resale value they hold is mainly driven by the market.
But then again in your case, a board marked by the infamous "DP" would be recognized all over the world! |
