You can't beat those incredible backdrops and wonderful scenery. Growing up and living in the big city has its ups and downs and not experiencing this kinda stuff every day is definitiely a down. Im jealous. Good start to your seaosn.!

We may have some good nukin' 20-30 knot winds all this week so maybe we get a little taste as well. Except our mountain backdrops come in pairs Laughing

super fun nukefest on saturday. seemed nice and warm, but still felt good wearing booties and gloves.
was wondering, why so many walk out and rig over by the island. when the water level is so low you can walk down the stairs and rig by the parking lot. I was just wondering. I've done the walk out there, but on saturday, I rigged down by the channel marker and the wind seemed fine there. lots of sailboarders down in that area though.

The wind is usually steadier there. Plus it helps to be upwind / upcurrent in case you need to drift back to the beach. Downside is the naked flag pole guy!

Kudos for Alana! Pretty hard core to be pretty close to a complete newb and charging out on a 7m day at rooster.
Thanks for the pics Tony!
